My New Blank Canvas

Here is she is, my new blank canvas, a '05 530i with Sport & Premium Package in Silver Gray (A08) with "Shadowline Trim".

Style 172's are in the garage waiting for the rain to clear to be fitted asap. So far I've been tinkering around with the iDrive and formalizing all my settings. Still have to read & search a lot more on what to look out for on these models.

So far simple mods are in order before going into the more extensive ones.

- Matte Black Grills
- De-badge or replace "530i" symbol to black
- RPI Intake Scoop
- Research on what type of light upgrades are possible. (Still kind of confused on the whole LCI and pre-LCI thing.)

And last but not least understand the different terminologies used, such as LCM, HPFP, etc... by STFF... :D

looks good. where did you get your grilles from?

They are OEM grills when the car was purchased.

Have a set of matte black grills on the way from Trinity Motorsport.

Nice car. Mine is the same color and has the same packages.
Pre-LCI cars were made before the '08 model year so LCI cars were made after that, I think I remember that correctly. You should have Zenon headlights so are you just talking about upgrading your angle eyes?
Trinity Motor Sports are good guys and usually have some of the best pricing.

Thanks for the info SteveB. Yes I have been surfing around the "5Series" site and found a lot of valuable information there.

I think for now I will upgrade the angle eyes and see what can be done with regards to the yellow reflector of the headlights. For now a few simple mods will do and save up for a set of LCI taillights with Bruce Miranda V6 cables.
