beginner!

Hi! my friend loves BMW's and has owned many. he got a used X3.great car, like new. when it was in the shop they gave him a free loaner car. i think it was a 2009 or 2010 5 series all wheel drive. we drove around in it. fantastic!! super ride, plenty of power, sophisticated dashboard.
I am a TOTAL beginner with BMW. can you suggest a 5 series model? I like sedans, would like a used car, relatively recent, auto trans so wife can also use,.

i would consider all wheel drive, live in Massachusetts. can you suggest a range of years and models? would like a reliable car. I absolutely maintain my cars.

If you want a AWD 5 series you'd want to look at a E60x ....

Depends on how old car you want and what you want to pay for it..

THe 5 series has a new body type now so the e60/61s are starting to drop in price..
