Ok so Im from Canada and you know the sh*tty weather here can cause you to get into accidents... My car's heater control panel does not work so I get no heat and windows fogs up, but I managed to drive a whole winter with no problem..this winter not so lucky... I was gonna get it fixed soon but I slid off the road and f*ucked up my bimmer. :( as you can imagine the bumper is broken (the upper aluminum is ok) the radiator and fan is "done" it started smoking I'm guessing antifreeze. and the front axle is misaligned.
Im not sure what to do. I think the best thing is to sell it for parts tho. the transmission was starting to slip and it was in need of new brakes.
I got it for $4 000 CND at the auction 12 months ago. Should I fix it? should I sell for parts? I have two people who would buy it for parts but how much would I get for it?

I do have pics but I don't know how to attach them it says something about a url? does the forum host the pics??
I'm just curious how much I can get for it. unless its better to sell it part by part myself which might be a little hard.

Host them on a site like Photobucket or Flickr and post the [IMG] link.
It's tough to tell how much you would get for it without seeing pictures but 99 times out of 100 you will get more money for it by parting it out yourself vs selling it outright. Without seeing your car, I would say somewhere around $1k depending on condition of interior and wheels.

So do you have any suggestion for selling the parts myself? how would I decide what to charge? do I just put and add on the internet? If I was to sell it to a mechanic what is a reasonable price?

I think u need to retake the pictures in mid day with the sun behind u shining on the part. Cant see anything in those pic and need one thats at a distance, but, I would just repair it if u like it. Doesnt look too bad from the pics but like I said, cant see anything.

True but its snowing all the time it gets dark at 4pm, anyway all the info is in the first post. don't worry about pics so much, I will ask again.
-Is it worth replacing axle?
-How much should I sell it for at once if I don't want to sit on the parts?
-How do I sell parts I cant ship through the internet like rims..adds on the internet or what?

It's all up to how you feel about the car vs your pocket situation. If you like the car enough and can afford to replace the parts, go for it. IMO, based off of not so clear photos, fix it. If more damage is done than the pictures display, part it out and start new. Ive seen far worse be restored, but I've seen far better be scrapped.

Ok wow never mind looks like some people may have tried to scam me.. I think my axle is fine the problem is just the front steering (right especially) I have to fix. If that's so it may not be so brutal. Il do some research and post back.
