View Full Version : I think I am missing some parts??????

What part am I missing? I know the big splitter PVC/Check valve that comes off the brake booster and the Y pipe that goes from the intake pipe to the throttle body. but I really dont know for sure. This is my 1990 525i.

Looks like no one has an answer for you, including me, mine is a 535 so I can't even go look....

Have you tried looking in realoem.com to see if an exploded parts list shows what you need?

It looks like the previous owner tried to get more vacume in the brake booster for a different pedal feel, geting the vacume from only the venturi instead of the intake pipe also... Interesting

Thanks Dan. My throttle body only has one inlet on the side for vacuum. Not 2 like yours shows. Is yours an automatic?

Mine use to be an automatic and I have two as well. Whats the difference in function?

All M20b25 throttle bodies have two inlets on the side for the hoses I showed from the brake booster line. M20b27 throttle bodies do not have two hose, they have one. It makes no difference whether the car is automatic or standard.
Beeter- In your pictures the bottom inlet has a different hose attached to it (where the piece I took a picture of should go) with two hose clamps that looks like it goes back to the brake booster and someone plugged off the other one. Look closely.
I have no idea why that is there :help
