Has anyone with a 335i received their service letters to have this replaced? My car is currently in the shop for 50% of my injectors failing and I asked the tech if they could take care of the HPFP recall at the same time. His response was that since I had not received my service letter yet, then he would have to provide hard data to BMW to exchange my pump. My dealership is nearly an hours drive away. :mad

Strange....my 2007 335i went in for routine maint. and while i was there they did the software update for recall. Took all day and night since they need to let it download then do a cold start in morning. Absolutely never had problem with my HPFP in the past. I live in CT...new country BMW did mine.

That may be according to the existing TSB on the issue, not necessarily the recall work per se. It takes time for them to do all the paper work associated with a recall, after all they just announced it a couple of weeks ago. Heck it probably takes this long or longer to mail them this time of year, so I would not be surprised if they don't start coming till next year.

The recall has not been announced yet. it's been announced that there is going to be a recall, but as of this moment, there is no recall.
