2011 E91 bike rack questions

I just purchased my new car and it came with factory roof rails but I am a bit confused on what parts are needed to carry two bicycles. Any help will be appreciated. Are the BMW rack parts worth the extra $$$?

The 2011 E91 wagon has the new lower profile roof racks - you might be stuck buying the BMW crossbars...

I think you need to buy the bars and also buy the bike attachments. Anything with BMW on it will cost you more but if you are putting a rack on a new car, I would use the integrated rail system (i.e. buy BMW parts).

I just checked the Yakima fit sight and they recommended the railgrab system and 48" crossbars for the 2011 e91. If you go with one of the two big name rack companies, it will probably cost a fair bit less and have better parts availability. I think REI and EMS have sales right now for racks (or at least 20% off 1 full price item).
