Congrats, did you just splice in new wire? Crimp or solder? What gauge wire?
As you can probably tell I need to do this, again! Last time I only fixed the broken wires, and sure enough others soon broke.

I just did a quick crimp repair using the same gauge wire . It started raining so I needed to wrap it up. If I need to redo it in the future I will solder and use heatshrink on the repairs. It is really a pretty easy repair .

When i repaired mine i cut away about 10 inches of each cable (those who run along the hinge part) so that when i got the new cables on, there would only be clean cables running along the hinge part and no solder+crimp at that section only before and after the hinge part, and i used the same gauge wire as the ones i cut away. Has been holding up without any issues at all since then, and that was a long time since.
I have done the lazy way before with soldering+crimping it togheter at the broken point only, and that didn't hold for more than a month.. So that is not recommended!
