I was going to have my calipers painted, but after reading about some people who just put on caliper covers , I though I would go that way. Problem is, Even though there listed for an E36, there not designed Just for our car's, there Universal. I even found some cover that say Brembo on them, Which in my book is akin to putting a M3 badge on a 325i! and as one member said, stuffing socks in your shorts. Anyways these are the 2 I found....
Im guessing I could just paint over the Brembo logo, But has anyone Tried these, and if so which ones and From Where? and how did they fit?
The 2 I found:

wow, I've seen fake rotors behind spinners and such, this is almost as bad - to fake a BBK?
paint is cheap, and looks appropriate on the E36 :)
I'm painting mine red next time I do pads/rotors. $12 at autozone for a couple cans.

I wouldn't do that your calipers want to be air cooled. Not to mention those things are Walmart ghey.

BavAuto sells some, but please don't. I'd just leave them the way they are.

You have to have at least 16" rims for the covers to fit, and then they have to be adjusted PERFECTLY to not rub. Just talked to a guy this past weekend that bought the EBAY "Brembo" covers and he's only got the rears on because he was afraid the front covers would shift a 1/32 or so and cut a groove in his wheels.
Do the caliper paint. It takes a couple of hours work and some creative masking to keep the overspray off the bodywork, but you won't have to worry about fit issues.
I painted mine red (front and rear) last year and they still look like new.

Ive painted calipers before, But I bought brand new ones, Painted them with like 10 Coats, and put them on, But obviosly much too pricey to do that with a BMW. Those ones on bav auto actually say they cool the Calipers...Which sounds like B.S. oh and there $199! I got the cover Idea from someone on these forums saying they worked great... But yeah I couldn't believe the fake Brembo BS!
How did you get the links to work? Ive had that problem before with ebay links not working, and having someone else fix them.
