oh that sound.....BANG! I have have it more than once!
once again pilot error! I backed into a minivan at church (the other vehicle was fine) but it caught some of the paint and peeled it back. I took it up to Carsmetics and they want $350 to remove the cover fix it, paint it jet black and clear coat it. Seems sort of steep to me but I do want it done right. You cant see in the pictures but it did make a spiderweb effect about 4 inches down that will probobly coming back to haunt me if I dont do it right. Its a one day job. Sound reasonable??? At last it will cover up some of the other small flesh wounds that I have picked up from my backing up skills. I think I really just need to install cameras! Or be more patient. What do cameras cost? :)

Thanks all!!!!

Only $350 to do that job? Sounds pretty cheap to me, I'd be leary of their work.

Why don't you just get another quote? Check with the local auto stereo shops for backup camera prices. I know they've come way down.

If they can fix that for $350 that is a great price, just make sure this place is legit.

My car was tapped on the bumper by a lady who couldn't wait to accelerate after the light turned green. She took off paint only and paid out the insurance company $600 just to repaint the bumper. The repair looks exactly like yours.

A minivan! Really? Cameras aren't the answer. Maybe you need to go back to basics. Turn around and look out the back window. Really this has happened before, c'mon..... $350is a good price. IMO in this case you should pay 3x that....

$600 to remove refinish and reinstall front bumper cover on my '99 M Coupe so $350 sounds pretty cheap.
I'd ask for references if you don't already know the quality of their work.

600+ to fix a minor scrape on the bumper of my 323 when a guy clipped me on the left side of the rear bumper. I agree, 350$ is cheap. If the work was done properly, that is a steal.
