I find that taking the old belt off helps a lot.

The radiator shroud isn't a necessary removal, but it'll make the job a easier.

-shroud is all. might consider replacing the pulleys and tensioners if its been a while. recently replaced all of mine to get rid some screeching noises.

It is a bit annoying. Not much room for your hands or tools in there. This is one of those cases where the fan pulley holding tool pays itself off, because having the fan out of there would give you more room. But it's not necessary. Just be patient and it will be an easy job.

Do your pulleys if you don't know the last time they were done as well.
