View Full Version : Styling 5 not wide enough

I always found the Styling 5 a little boring and 9" on an E31 is kind of narrow IMO as well. So I talked to my machine shop as well as to my parts supplier and came up with a solution. Now my Styling 5s are 3-piece with a nice deep stepped lip.

well you could start off by giving the new specs on the wheels such as sizes and new offsets. plus tire sizes

Damn, now that is a style 5 setup I'd like to run. None of this 205 tires nonsense to have the stretch look. But a 10" all around setup would be amazing.

Man, those aren't cheap! But then I guess you're using an all new barrel and lip for each wheel right?
I thought of doing this once but reconsidered when I tallied up the costs lol

they are in the same price range as refurbished BBS RS197/212
Once done they are like a set of new rims.
If you're looking for something cheap BBS is definitely the wrong choice :)

AFAIK you can't go wider than 8" and if they are off an E39 (RC090 is the model code of the rim) you need hub centric rings. The E39 requires a larger center bore than all other BMW models.
