I have a '97 BMW 318i with about 150k miles, and recently she's been making this squealing noise. and it only happens occasionally, when she feels like making it, but usually when the engine's warm... Sometimes she'll squeal when starting up and already warm.. When driving, it tends to squeal about 2-3 seconds after I let my foot off the gas and go away when accelerating. It usually does not continue squealing after idling at low speeds or stopped at a red light. I have no guesses as to what it is.. my brother thinks it's a vacuum seal leak... Anybody have any ideas?
