Rear bumper trim

Can you put the rear bumper trim that goes on the bottom around the muffler tip off of a M3 on a regular 3 series? Mine fell off and I am wanting to replace it with something cooler.

You'll probably need to do some dremel'ing to make it work or you could buy one off of ebay that is a replica produced to fit the normal 3 series bumper.
