window regulator or motor?

My passenger window will not go down, how do I determine if its a window motor or regulator?

75 percent chance its the regulator.

Most likely the regulator. If you can't do the replacement yourself, buy the regulator and take it to a window repair shop to have it replaced. That should be cheaper than a BMW dealer.
