European Plates "legal" in US?

is it legal to put a real (but more than 3 years old) european plate on the front of the car here in the US, as long as the current and valid US plate is displayed in its legal spot un-obstructed?

As far as I know, yes. So long as your real plate is there you can do what ever you want. A friend of mine has run Euro plates behind his California ones for years without trouble.

In PA you could display it on the front legally because we have no front plates. :D

I've seen several cars do this around here with no issues that I've heard of. I'm sure it'd be the same across most states.

Hell, I've run my German plates by themselves without trouble.
