335D Fuel Filter

Has anyone had their fuel filter changed prior to the paid service interval? I'm a little uncomfortable with the 30K planned replacement plan. I've heard that it is location below the passenger seat and can only be accessed from under the car. My dealer was vague about the price for the replacement.

its on the drivers side under the paneling...can only be done from under the car and requires removal of alot of plastic paneling and screws...
