I'm out in Buffalo, NY. There is only one BMW dealership around, Towne BMW.

They are open late, have great service and always lend me a new bimmer when my car goes in. This month, my car was in three times. Once for a TPMS sensor that went bad and two others for a long-start issue that ended up being the HPFP (no shock there)

The surprising part
**************
As I got my keys and was about to get to my car, which they washed and waxed and brought to the front door for me (love that part) the service advisor comes running out to me.

"Mr. #####, can you come to parts with me?" He exclaimed.
"OK" I replied, slightly confused.
Walking to the parts department, he said "We want to apologize for you being here three times this month. You can pick anything you want from the parts department. Want a hat, shirt, keyring, license plate frame, jacket? Whever you want. It's on us."
"Are you sure? You don't have to do that." I remarked, not quite sure how to react.
"Of course, anything. It's on us. You've been here three times this month." He replied.
He then told the parts counter "Put this on the open." and walked away after shaking my hand.

I stood there in disbelief. "Anything?" I thought to myself. I was like a kid on Christmas morning, looking around the room for my free gift. I was in shock! I had to actually leave the room to call my girlfriend, where she reminded me of something I had asked her for my Birthday.... All Weather Floor Mats! She quickly made fun of me for forgetting, but I don't think she quite understood the situation I was in.

I thought "there is no way... those are $150 for the set..." as I walked back to the parts department to ask for them.

To my surprise, as I said "They're not out here, but I could use some all weather floor mats..." where he quickly replied "Sure, no problem Mr ####" and disappeared into the back room.

He emerged from his treasure palace of car parts with nice and new mats, with which he placed them onto the counter and said "you're all set!" with excitement. He had a shit eating grin on his face, almost as if this made his day...

I said "Thank you" again, and walked to my car, floor mats in hand.

BMW Service cannot be rivaled. Never before has this type of activity happened at any dealership I have ever been to. I used to work at a Lexus/Toyota/VW dealership when I was younger and this was just unheard of to me. I'm not one to post, but I am extremely satisfied and I needed to share my experience.

Some dealers know a thing or two about customer satisfaction and repeat customers. Too bad not every dealer is like that. It seems you have a keeper.

Agreed. Glad you had a great experience. To follow up and confirm your thoughts....and long story short:

Last week I took my "satellite ready" car in to get the Sirius radio installed. Multiple times I had been quoted about $550 to have it done. Turns out they were wrong, got a call while the car was there and said it was actually about $1500 (which it was, my car doesn't have NAV)...of course I was upset, and I made it known.

The end result: I got the satellite installed, 1 year of Sirius service and they threw in some all weather mats, total cost to me just over $400. They made it right, MORE than right. :buttrock

I really like the BMW dealership. The staff are friendly, the parts guy is knowledgeable, and service staff seem very helpful. There's a lounge area with espresso, magazines, internet and television.

I drive out of the metro area to the next town over for service. That was where I bought my car at anyways. The service guys are really good.

3x for the same problem classifies as a lemon...and being all the swirl around the HPFP and BMW and the lawsuits they are getting, it makes complete sense to give you a few hundred dollars vs. a few thousand.

Anyway, good work.

wow, you have a really nice dealership! my dealership is full of **** :(
they are the unfriendliest and function more like a group of nasty thieves than a nice group of people that are actually there to help you. nice to see that there is still some good people out there.
