What a great weekend to get things done. I had no variable fan, and a broken knob on the HVAC,
backlight out in the OBC and headlight switch,
bad SI board,
old Blaupunkt Cassette player, the original 4x6 speakers,
a windshield leak,
a huge oil leak from somewhere in the front of the engine,
and a constant state of heat.

I pulled the Instrument Cluster and soldered on new Radio Shack batteries, and it works great - no oil or inspection lights.
Replaced the back light on the OBC and headlamp switch. I found it very easy to fix the OBC light by going in through the Head Unit hole versus the Big Coupe method of coming in through the side of the glove box.

Replaced the HU with a Blaupunkt San Jose MP3 unit, which I painted to have it blend in much better. It comes off the shelf with this bright silver face and I found some Rust Oleum paint called "Hammer Black" that gives it texture and an almost perfect match. It was pretty easy to pull the face cover off and repaint it. The HU has red backlighting with a bright blue face. So it almost looks stock. The good news is I can put some colored gel inside the face and change the color.
Replaced the front speakers with a set of 4x6 Eclipse I had and the rears with Infinity Kappa plates I also had. I pulled the pod covers and I think new ones that will fit 6x9's are in order

I pulled the HVAC Control Unit and replaced the slide with a new arm I picked up at the junkyard. While I had it out I fixed the transistor and now have a working fan again and the middle slider has a knob on it.
Shot a ton of silicone sealer into the winshield seal and it appears to have slowed the leak considerably, but not all together. I think I may have it resealed.
I pulled the radiator and it appears my oil leak is coming from the front seal. Everything above the crankshaft appears to be dry.
I was hoping it was something simpler.

I bought new innards to the heat control valve and when I had the coolant drained forgot to install it :(
Next weekend I have to drain and pull the radiator to solve the oil leak, so that will get fixed then.
Once I get the oil leak fixed the suspension is next, it is pretty pathetic.
I rebuilt the suspension on one of my Vettes and it made a huge difference, so I am looking forward to pulling out the 20 year old junk and putting in new technology.

is usually the cam to distributor seal.

It is high enough you will only get a leak at highway speeds.

Normal leak checking will show nothing.

The oil leak is pretty low. I am pretty sure it is the front seal. I can wipe the area around the distributor, and it is dry. I pulled the bolts that hold the position sensor and they were also dry. Yet I will spray oil on the ground if I leave it idling for more than 5 minutes.
