Random E46 M3 questions....

Hey I am a new member here on the forums. I just have a few random questions on the m3 that I am hoping to buy in the future.

1. Does the middle rear console open up to connect to the trunk? (So I can fit skis int the car)

2. Is the transition from manual to SMG smooth or does it require a while to learn?

3. Aprox. how often do you need to service it to get the longest life out of the car?

But the simple/crude answers are: The fold down seat/pass through was an option. SMG requires some technique and also went through 3 revisions over the years. Later ones are smoother. SMG can be a bit problematic. Generally you'll need oil service at 7500 miles and periodic valve adjustment (at 15k intervals, I think, but it could be 30k).

SMG sucks, don't be hypnotized by paddles. And check the M section, not the E46...
