Anybody ever bought anything from BAS? I was going to get some gaskets and a hood emblem. Is there stuff good quality? They don’t say what the emblem is made of it kind of looks like plastic from the DIY video. Any experiences with them?

Most of their stuff is OEM, so yes, it's good quality. Their website is known for having quality stuff that's just sometimes overpriced compared to autohaus, or pelicanparts, ect..

Purchased plenty of emblems from them before ... they were BMW OEM ... in other words same thing you'd buy at the dealer.

ok thanks, the emblems and stuff seemed pretty comparable as far as price goes, the only place I found it cheaper was AMAZON, but all the reviews say there junk so ill just get my few needed parts through them.
I was also planning to get the Bavarian autosports performance coil set but it’s around $600 for my car. Do you think it’s worth it?

What the heck is a performance coil??? And no, I don't think so. The factory coils are pretty damm good, it isn't like when we had wires and you had a set of 6mm that had 50k on them

Ok that’s all I needed to hear I was kind of thinking the same thing the only reason I even considered it was because one of mine burned out and now I have a hard miss and in the ad it said that I gives you more horsepower and better gas mileage.

Stock coil-on-plug ignition systems are rarely lacking. The timing precision and strength of spark they deliver is light-years beyond what older ignition systems could achieve. Maybe if you had an old distributor with points and mechanical + vacuum advance you'd benefit from a better coil, but your car being what it is there are much better ways to spend $600. When's the last time you did a full tuneup, for instance, and replaced all the fluids, filters and wear items?

Since I bought the car never. I put new spark plugs in when it started to miss, besides that I’ve never changed anything. I do have an oil change but have not changed it yet. I only drove the car for a week (about 140 miles of driving) before it broke down and the repair shop that I took it to tried to rip me off big time, the guy tried to charge me $812 just to flush the transmission and radiator, and all together his bill was over $4500. So needless to say I told him where to stick it! :lol But it’s all good now because as we speak my car is in the shop with a real mechanic who is fixing everything for a little over $200. So... when I get the car back I’m going to flush and replace everything. So that’s my story and it’s why I was looking for a few new parts. Since its going to snow on Saturday I won’t be driving it much anyway because of the salt.
