hey i have 740il 1998 and i have the thick break-resistant glass windows in it which are multi-layered, but in some parts on the edge there appears to be some fogging up or this weird thing happening to the inner laminant layer. is this moisture getting in between the glass layers? how do i stop this of fix it back to normal? does anyone here have the break-resistant glass and has experienced this? anyone have experience with this or not? thanks

here are 2 pics from my e38:

It looks like its delaminating, I think the only fix is new windows.

Ah! Yours are getting pretty bad. I do not believe there is a fix for this except new glass. You best bet may be sell any of your existing windows and switch to the thin glass. I was lucky and was able to sell all my good security glass and swap out the thin from a local junk yard. The best thing is that I made $700 on the swap.

Thank god we don't have that issue here! No delamination on the dual pane glass here, we have an air gap and not foil in-between the layers.

This is one of the reasons I got rid of my 750, I have heard that some people have put the tint on the outside of the window???
