I have 275-30-19's on the rear and when I went to replace them the lips look chewed up when the old ones were pulled off (pics at the bottom).
Is this a case of someone using the wrong equipment to mount them or just not knowing what they were doing? The new ones went on fine but I had to pay a little extra since it was a PIA which I understood so I didn't mind.
9k miles later the new tires were cupping(-3* camber up front for the track + too much toe). I had a new alignment done with -2.7* and 0 toe up front and had the tires rotated so the cupping was on the outside.
The place raked me over the coals on the mounting and dismounting and charged me 45 min per tire because 'they were such a PIA'. Had I known in advance I would have brought it somewhere else. 400 miles later and the rear right is flat. I brought the wheel somewhere else and they said the lip on the new tires is so jacked up that they can't get it to seal right so now I have to replace the tire. Meanwhile I am worried about the rest of them.
* These pics are NOT of the current tire that isn't holding air. These are the last ones that I took off. I'm anticipating that the current one that is leaking is much worse.
