Well, I just finished putting in a new door handle, window regulator and motor. Everything seemed to work fine, but then... I tried lowering my window and raising it back up when suddenly the rear of the window went up and the front dipped down. I took off the door panel and noticed that the front regulator arm popped off from the plastic slider (both of which are new BTW). I inspected the door and realized that the front of the window was off track. After fixing this issue and putting the regulator back into the slider it seemed to work fine again. However, after a few more tries it popped out again! I checked the window and it wasn't off track this time. Is there anything I need to adjust? One thing I noticed was that it was extremely easy to attach the regulator arms to plastic sliders. When I did this job on my passenger side, this required pliers and a decent amount of force.

I had this happen to me and in my case there were 2 problems. First I thought you were suppose to pull the metal clip when install plastic slide and the push it on after
arm knob was in. You don't pull the clip you just push it in the plastic slider, it's hard
but it suppose to be. 2d I didn't have the bottom rail in the proper place. mine were off the window, the po had the driver window replaced and they didn't know what they were doing. There is a DIY with very good pictures, thats how I found how to put my rails back on bottom of window properly. Once I did that and bend the clips closed and push them on the clip first and then snapped arm in, wha la, no more problems.

I know that the window rails are on there properly and I did not remove the metal clips off prior to snapping the regulator arms into the sliders. Am I supposed to push the metal clips further than they sit originally?

make sure when you push the arm into the sliders that you hear a good pop...use some pliers to help...just double check...

I know this is old but the info is here....
The damn slider keeps popping off the regulator. I replaced this regulator last year and I didn't replace the sliders so they finally broke. Installing the new ones and they keep popping off. Are you supposed to keep the metal clip pulled out most of the way then after pushing the regulator arm on the the ball socket, slide the metal clip over it? I've been doing that and it just isn't holding... :shifty

Make sure the window is properly seated into the tracks. It could be putting more pressure than the clips can take when raising and that is causing it to pop out.
There is always a way to adjust the regulator by loosening the bolt that holds the arm in place and you can slide that up and down to release some of the pressure.
My drivers window had a bit of a gap, so I had to re-align that adjustment bar and get the window back in the tracks.

I'm pretty certain the glass is in the tracks fine, I can slide it up and down with my hands fairly easily. l'll loosen that rear most arm and play with that a bit, but I'm just trying to make sure I'm getting these sliders installed correctly.
I put the old ones in the track and they move quite easily as they are worn down more, the new ones have some resistance, I've got the tracks cleaned out quite nicely where the sliders live. Not sure what else it could be :confused
First thanks for listening guys... :)
(this is a pass side coupe)
I loosened the adjustment arm and I got the forward slider to finally pop in with some significant force.
The rear most slider is still sorta lazily "popping" in, it's not a snap.
I had the retaining clips in the "closed" or locked position when I did this, the ball had to force the clip open. I wonder what's up with that other one... hmmm.....
Final update...
I didn't get the elusive "SNAP" from the rear most slider.... but I did relearn the window to the stop positions and when up and down a good 5 times.
I checked the slider and it wasn't falling out per-se and I tried pulling it off and it didn't come off... I'm going to assume it's ok, but we all know what happens when we assume.....
Time to drive with the top down!
