Hi, I came by this idea today. I was thinking about using the Oem BMW DVD navigation disc in my DVD player on my portable and hook up a GPS receiver trought the usb. Woul that work, i mean, can the dvd run by itself ? Unfortunately, I don't have a DVd with me, so I can't try it...

Cheers
Bo

I wasn't going to respond to this as I am not positive but I would think that you would be hard pressed to get it to work. You would need the same GPS unit that BMW uses, then drivers to run your OS plus a host of other problems that I don't even want to touch. So in short. No... :(

Possible=Yes

with the work/money involved to actually make it work=NO!

so in short... i am going to have to say no for this one

u could definatly do it, but it wouldnt be bw navigation, my friend whos a computer genius knows all about it, get urself a geek and ur set, me and him talked about that kind of setup, he said all youd need would be microsoft streets a gps a laptop, and maybe some other minor things, he also told me it would be pretty cheap to do
