Hey guys, 94 325is only shifts between Drive and Neutral. I'm thankful car will start in neutral. Have to roll it down the driveway in N just to get anywhere.

Does anyone have a DIY on replacing/fixing this?

Can't take to shop right now getting ready to lose my house...economy:(

I'm hoping it's something SIMPLE in the shift assembly on the floor. IDK

Thanks for any help all.

its really simple, jack the front drivers side of the car up so you can get to the transmission. take the shifter knob and selector cover off... remove the cir clip holding the cable to the selector end and loosen the nut that holds the cable assembly to the shifter. get under the car loosen the bolts that the cable is held on to with and pull from inside the car... when you go to replace the cable be sure to feed the cable to the immediate left of the cabin opening and it should slide down the side of the tranny with some fiddling.
