So I got parts laying in my house been waiting for the weather too cool down got bored installed these (front, rear and steering wheel) Saved the ones for my rims once I decide on a set... love the look now I wanna install my Headlights! If I stay this bored I may black out the rear 740iL...

Sweet...quick/easy/cheap mod but makes a big difference :)

I've seen 'em on eBay, usually pretty well-priced. Looks good on a black E38.

yea i like the different colored ones they have!! they look cool!!
i want to do the black/white ones on my car...
but surprisingly mine are in GREAT shape for it being an 01!!

dumb question #1...where do you get that?

Ebay, the set of 7 was like $60 bucks. Very good quality, real carbon which is what I wanted. Took literally 5 mins to install. Both my emblems were in great shape but both were starting to peel away from the casing. I have shadlowline tape I bought at the same time I may do all my crome tomorrow. Als have a smoked grille sitting in wait. I was trying to wait till it cooled down and I got my wheels. Didnt wanna go all out sitting on stock basket weaves...

What width did you order? I may do this rather than spend way more on new trim pieces.

FWIW, steering wheel might be a bad idea unless it is just a sticker. I've heard those aftermarket roundels will fly off like bullets if the airbag deploys.

Just a stick on over the old one. The plastic was impossible to get off without cracking.

The roll was like 3 inches wide....

I'd like to do this aswell, but not carbon fibre, just black and white
