Hey..
I just bought a set of wheel for my 95 E36 M3
That has rare 17x9 et32 and front 17x8 et10
Can i run the square set up 235/40/17?
And do i need spacer to clear the front brake?

I don't think you'll need a spacer to clear your brakes. You can try to fit the front wheels with tires and see if you're rubbing on your struts/springs especially if you have coilovers. 235/40 should work. If it rubs, you can always roll/pull your fender.

ET10 means the wheel is sitting FURTHER away from the strut than ET30 or ET40.

The fronts will be most likely rub on the guard NOT on the strut. You'll have heaps of clearance from the brakes.

If you lower the car the front will hiot the guards unless you add negative camber via shims or camber plates.

The rears will also be very aggressive and require stretched 235's to sit low.

235/40/17?
I think it will work with rear with some fender roll
Wut i'm concern is the front, I don't want some crazy camber.

So i ganna rub those plastic thing under the fender u mean?

Why a square setup? You're not going to rotate the wheels...

The 9" wide wheels will look stretched and the 8" will look "meaty" - I think it would look weird.

I kinda like the neutral feeling of square set up on my DS1
So i do want to keep the square set up but not sure if it will work with staggered wheel

Brake clearance has nothing to do with offset. The biggest factor is the spoke design, and obviously the diameter of the wheel. Offset is just the distance from the contact point on the wheel hub to the center of the wheel.

Wrong, depending on the wheel design lower offset wheels put the spokes further from the hub which usually means more clearance.

OP you won't need any spacers to clear the brakes, you will need to run smaller tires to get that wheel to fit.

Ya.. I dont think im ganna have any problem with the brake clearance for the front cuz It's one piece wheel with concave face.
I think the rear is ganna fit 235 without any problem
but might have to go with 215 for the front
