Hey everybody,

I have been driving around with my sunroof on tilt for a few weeks, not needing to open it, and it can go from tilt to closed fine. Sunday I tried to open it, and it'll move back a barely noticeable amount then stop and click once. I tried to see the problem, and I noticed that some jack ass had slipped a handout for a local bar in the tilted open sunroof and it had gotten stuck in the rear passenger corner. I pulled that out, and only a very small (less then 1/8th inch) bit was ripped out. My sunroof still won't move back though.

I have tried resetting it by putting it forward to tilt, then holding forward for several minutes, every 5 seconds or so I hear a click but nothing happens, not even the closing of the tilt. Any suggestions?

Your going to have to check out some DIY's on the subject. Probably gonna have to take out cassette, for a better look. Here's one.

you may have luck removing just the metal top. Follow the DIY on how to release the shuttle and push it back, then remove the screws holding the metal top. Once removed you will probably see what has jammed it as well as give the opprtunity to clean and lube it.

I tried to follow the instructions given, but it opens such a little amount that I am unable to slide the interior panel back. Is there any other way to move that?

it only needs to move a very small amount so that the shuttle becomes free to push back. Took me like 20 tries to get it. Keep trying - you will find the spot
