Need new window chrome

Hi , does anybody know were I can get 2 new chrome pieces for my 740 (E38). the pieces that run from the roof along the back doors and has some ruber on it, bmw main dealers want 380 euro for 2 and I just won't pay it. anyone know anywhere to get them

This is a common issue. You can do a search and find some different solutions, but the most common solution is to cut the cracked rubber out.

Hi thanks for that advise , would never have tiught of that but if the rubber is bad I just put black insulating tape along it ( pull it tight and it will cover it all in one piece and with a sharp blade just trim it and it lookes good)
But my problem is they are sratched and the back clips keep breaking off

I would hit a yard for a non scratched one, or try some steel wool to polish out yours. I have a near mint drivers side with good rubber I need to post up for sale, but not both sides. The clips just need to be epoxy glued on.

I wish I could do this with mine. My Chromeline along the windows is sunbaked and looks like balls. :(

same with mine...
it's the parts on the inside of the windows on the door panels that really bothers me....it's peeling!
