Specifically, I'm looking at putting 17" M Contours on my non-M. Is the body flared out more on an M to fit staggered wheels? Were these made OEM staggered and non-staggered?
I'll likely go with H&R sport springs when I do these. I'm not looking to slam, poke, or stretch, just want more aggressive look and drive.
Thanks.

The wheels I am looking at are 17x7.5 all around. Is this normal, or are they all fronts?

depends on the year M3 they came off of. On my 95 M3 they are all 17x7.5 but my friends has 17x7.5 front 17x8.5 rears. to have staggered contours you need the 8.5 in the rears and the 7.5 fronts. And to answer your first question no the body is not flared out more unless you have your quarter panels and fenders rolled

Netdewt- the wheels you are looking at are obviously NOT staggered. so just buy them and throw them on with 235/40-17 all around.

I know this, but the seller of another set said they were staggered and would not fit non-M e36 because the rear panels are flared. That sounded fishy to me. I thought I'd check here. Thanks.

I grabbed these this weekend.
According to online tire size calculators, 215/45/17 would be a closer match to the stock non-M tires (205/60/15), and would have a bit of stretch. Should I consider this, or just stick with the stock 17" tire size?
