I am wondering if 18" x 9.5" rear wheels would fit in a 2000 323ci?

It depends on a lot more things than just width. However, a 9.5 inch rear wheel is very pointless on a 323 and will slow you down, I'd get an 8 or an 8.5 inch wheel if I were you. It will fit better too.

Im not really goin for speed. i just want staggered wheels. I want a little bit of a rear stance... Im probly goin 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the back... Why exactly would it slow me down...?

Too much unsprung weight.
Those wheels would be way too wide for that car, and would hurt the acceleration, braking, and handling significantly.
Whether or not they would fit would depend on offset and tire size.

Go 7.5 and 8.5 it will be a better ride.
I have 17x8.5 and 9.5 on a 98 328i. 18's... i dunno. The right offset will be your friend.

Yes they will fit as long as the offset is around 30-40.
What wheels do you have in mind?

Check out our vendors. With 9.5 inch wheels you'll likley have to run narrow tires to make them fit, also, because of the offset on the 3 series, you won't get nice dish with a staggered set. I honestly don't think it is worth it.
