I need a 17x8.5 wheel for my race car and I've been considering the TR C2 rim for my Z3 race car. One issue I have is why the silver painted rim is listed as 0.8 lbs heavier than the black or anthricite colored rim, are the rims really that different in weight? Also, why the difference in back spacing? The siver rims are listed as 6.33 inch back spacing vs 6.29 for the other colors, is this just a difference between who measured this? What's the real numbers?

Ps. For a little background information, my class allows any rim up to 17x8.5, and I'm installing 255/40-17 Ra-1's. I'm currently running oe 16x7 rims with 245/45-16 Ra-1s with 10mm spacers on the front for strut clearance.

i have these as my track rims and they actually weigh less than 19lbs...if i recall, they were even under 18lbs each...call tirerack regarding the backspacing differences...

I noticed that in a for-sale thread where the op said they weighed 17lbs on his bathroom scale. I'm hoping Jim would respond to this thread, maybe if he could measure the grey and silver rim, and I'd just assume the black rim is the same as the grey. Color-wise my preference would be for the silver rims, but only if it weighs the same and has the same back spacing. Otherwise, I'd go with a set of black rims which are on order (11/30 delivery date).
