Hey everyone..

It's time to move on / upgrade. Since the wife and I are starting our family, I need to be a little more practical for a while, at least until we're firm on our feet. I've already ordered my 2011 4Runner Limited with all of the trimmings, so I wont have as much e38 withdraw as some would.
I love the car very very much, and have babied it since the day I've gotten it. It has been a true dream car, and is definitely worthy of it's "365 cars you must drive before you die" status. All sorts of maintenance items have been done, and I'll continue to keep it up until the day it's gone. It's been an amazing experience, and that's an understatement.

The details:
2000 740i with 144kmi, Orientblau Metallic over Sand Beige. 19" Staggered Style 95's with decent rubber 50%+ on the rear, 80%+ fronts. H&R stageII springs and Umnitza Chromiums, Headlight XPEL on fresh lenses, all new front end components, valley pan performed along with ALL of the gaskets within reach of it, all coolant hoses are new, factory hose clamps and everything (those biotch ones you crimp. I have the tool.), new radiator, new expansion tank, rebuilt ABS/DSC Module from Module Masters with 5 year warranty, new MAF, new BOSCH OEM lambda sensors, new power steering pump, new fuel filter with integral pressure regulator, new vacuum lines, new waterpump, new valve cover gaskets, fresh powder coat on the valve covers, new secondary air pipe and o-rings, new spark plugs, new cupholder, new leather wrap on driver seatback, infinity bass link, complete tool kit with warn triangle, m5 style rear wing, new 750il kidneys, parabolic side mirror glass... MOBIL1 ALWAYS.

The list goes on. The few of you I've met should know the car, and how I maintain it. I will continue to maintain and drive it until it's gone. I'm in no hurry to sell it, and wont mind if it doesn't go for months.

Bottom line, I'm looking at $9500 for it, and have no problem sitting on it for close to that money. Clear title in hand, ready for sale. Some pics to refresh your memory.

Please feel free to PM or post any questions you may have.

To all of my buddies on here, this is not the end of me and this surely DOES NOT MEAN I WONT END UP WITH ANOTHER BMW if/when the e38 is sold! Stay tuned... maybe something with HUD?

I agree with you on this. It's not quite the practical car in your situation and the toyota is very reliable and good for any condition. Good luck selling her... I was thinking of doing the same but Idk of a car right now to get. Specially in the coming economy cause things are not getting better but worse. I promise that. So again good choice on selling it

Thanks guys... The mpars are nice, and since that's what came with it when I bought it, i still have an mpar spare.

I never drive this car in the snow, and it has rarely seen rain.. Wintertime she's under a cover with a battery tender etc in my shop snuggled up nice...

I'm sure in the future I'll look back and miss this car.

Appreciate all the love guys. Spread the word. If anyone is local and interested, you're more than welcome to look over the car here as long as you, throw it up on the lift in the shop and all. Nothing to hide. Great car, needs a loving home.

Hardeep, I still have the T4R.. Are you interested still? I'm going to confirm with the other buyer (dragging their feet) tomorrow.

new post - merged.

It's almost like adopting a puppy. I might want to see your shop and your method of loving care....

Do you ship international?

Unfortunatelly here, unless you're an expatriated comming back, is against the law importing used cars...:bawling

Good luck selling your car and please keep visiting us

Know how you feel. Just sold a car I loved and enjoyed too. http://images.bimmerforums.com/vb3images/icons/icon11.gif

It is like losing an old friend. http://images.bimmerforums.com/vb3images/icons/icon9.gif

It may take time for someone to come and take your Baby, but I have found that when a person takes their time to decide to buy a car, they really take good care of it because it was not just an impulse but something that they wanted in their heart.

I think knowing the new owner will care for your baby is as important as selling the car, :buttrock

nah2323

Very true.. If it doesn't sell, I'm not concerned. I will be happy if someone that buys it will take good care of it.

She is a beauty. Sorry to see ya get rid of her. BTW, do you still have that rebuilt abs/dsc module with part number ending in 950-001? I would be interested in it if we could make contact.

nah2323

yep, still have it. I'll snap a picture right now and attach it so you can see.

nah2323
10-30-2010, 09:42 AM
actually I just looked, Mine is a 002 part number, which is the correct one for my 2000.. DSC should be an 002, and ASC should be 001. Also the notable differences are there are two less coils on the backside on the lower left hand corner, and the plug wont fit. Can Edwin/Ice/Timm confirm?

Looks like all 9/98 and newer take the same module.
