I need to know what the possible outcome might be to only run one non-runflat and three run-flats. Depending on the tire I guess it might be okay. RE-11 or Star Spec in 255/35R18. Eventually the rest would be replaced with matching tires. Besides the obvious handling differences I just need to know if it's safe enough.
Wow. 16 views and no one on the board has a reply. Interesting.

Runflat or not, it is NEVER a good idea to mix and match tires, at least not on the same axle. It is not very safe and even with the same tire size, there are possibly differences in overall diameter that may impact your handling and your car's operation. Either get the same tire as the other 3, or change 2 of them to something else.
P.S. Wow! You want a response within an hour? Don't be that impatient. Some people have jobs and other commitments and may not be able to check the site or reply every hour.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't really trying to be a smart arse. I'm already spending a lot of money and I just got my car 3 weeks ago. Flippin run flats

If you have a LSD, don't run mismatched tires in the back. Otherwise, Buy the one runflat and swap the other 3 over as soon as you get the funds. It may want to pull to one side for the month or so that you have odd tires...

I think I may just try to get it patched and then go from there. I'm not sure if they will even do it but I will try and see what happens. I would just much rather have regular tires and deal with not having a spare than having to shell out 400+ per corner for the run flats. Not to mention the kidney punches and dental work.
