So here I am yet again planning where to drive off to enjoy the car, the drive and the colors of autumn alongwith my family.

Last weekend we went to Niagra, although it was a bit cold and it rained too! - the drive was just amazing, came across a 760li who started messing around.. but I calmed myself down even though I have a heavy foot.. try to keep temptation at bay when I have my family riding with me.... so we ended up staying together for a fair bit, tempting the speed limit and all.. then the wifey chimed in so i laid off..

close to burlington i came across this jag - it was a post 95 im sure.. not sure whether it was a XJR - (the supercharged one.. I bel).. but we had some fun... then we almost went for a high end drag after lining up alongside each other!! .. I pressed down on the gas and was just going to engage the lovely kick down when my wife went livid pleading not to race....seeing me not go full out the jag guy was restless too and weaved in and out of lanes ahead of me and alongside too... im sure id have given him a tough time if id kicked down .. have to admit though he was faaast!..need to take it to the track next time! .. jus to see what enfolds...

any destination suggestions for a day road trip?!

Alexandria Bay is always an awesome place to visit...
I live in Old Forge, NY so that'd be a nice destination as well. I think it would involve an overnight however.

How old are the kids?

You could come to Erie, PA, maybe drive down to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon (about 5hr's). Unfortunately, it would be too cold to go to Presque Isle. I wonder if Peak and Peak is still doing there fall festival ( pumpkin cannon, lots of stuff for the kids, plenty of pretty leaves.).

Madison Wisconsin for Freakfest. Best party in the nation for halloween plus the best bars.
