2nd gear in my 92 325i went out last night. since i plan on doing a motor/tranny swap later next year i figure i should just pick up an m3 tranny now.

please email me if you have one for sale, beggers can't be choosers but i would prefer a somewhat local sale w/a lower mileage tranny.

My buddy put a 6spd tranny in his e36 M3 so now he has an extra tranny off of a '95 M3 it has 55,000 miles on it, its in great condition.

like everyone else, the holidays have me short on funds.

if you would ask him how much he wants for it, i'd really appreciate it. hate to throw out an inadvertant lowball figure and mess everything up before it even gets started.

hey bucketheadned,

I talked to my buddy today and he is looking at getting $1,000 for the tranny, the drive shaft and all the shifter linkage stuff. Its a pretty good price if you could use everything.

thanks Dan, still contemplating your offer being that your local and since the tranny has such low mileage. the broken piece is the only thing preventing me from buying.

300 is a GREAT price for a low mile trans. If it is just the alum mounting flange at the back or the tab where the shifter carrier goes, thats no big deal to weld. If it is the top mounting by the shifter carrier, order the small gasket that goes around the shift shaft to replace after welding. Free Bump. Also, I have a 70K M3 one for $650 shipped.

Are you referring to the rear trans mounting tabs??? Are they an easy weld repair? I was told the entire case had to come apart to jig the case and weld properly.
