HELP! E36 V1 Hard wire Install??

Anyone with experience please help. While connecting wires on my 98 3 series, which wire above the map lights do i connect to?? Any suggestions

I used the sunroof power supply. Connect the positive(red) splice to the wire that is purple with white stripes. Then connect the ground splice(black) to the brown wire.

where abouts do i find the wire? I have everything taken apart. Is it one of the four wires going to the switch for the sunroof, or for the map lights?
