Top Speed Run on Autobahn in Munich in a BMW Z8 @ 260 kmph

Finally got a experience a top speed run on the Autobahn in Munich in a Z8. There is nothing like the feeling you get in a roadster at top speed with the top down :D.

The only part that sucked was rush hour so the run was pretty short but what a way to commute. I might just have to move to Germany once and for all!!!! Will be posting some videos of my trip to the BMW Museum as well. I really had fun there seeing all the history that is so uniquely BMW. I would recommend it to every Bimmer fanatic!

Oh, and uhm... Oktoberfest was a blast!!! :buttrock

Be glad you weren't caught by one of those cameras no portable radar can detect, and that it didn't take a pic of you with a big smile and the top down.

Hopefully you have been experienced enough to handle your ride safely;)

Don't underestimate speed over 200 kmph, I'm from germany and use the Autobahn almost every day (just to catch Audi and Porsche:cool), but allways be prepared of grannies in their Mercedes wich were moving at the left lane without using the rear mirror:nono

High speed drivin at german autobahn is legal but not a piece of cake.

If it's limited, then your speedometer's wrong, and if it's delimited, then it wasn't top speed. :) I've topped out a vert, and been ~260kph, but never in the same car. Must have been a blast. Be careful.

Quite true... all done safely and as you can see, it was not reckless or weaving. Going fast is not just about going fast; there is a time and place and condition--that is key. Still, this was great fun and yes, I am experienced :redspot
