I saw a couple of nice shift knobs on some E32's today in the junk yard but could not figure out how to get them off.

These are automatic shift knobs and way nicer IMO than the handle that I have on my ride right now. My spring is broken in my handle and it just doesn't have the right feel to it.

Usually you just loosen an allen screw on the front of the standard handle, but I did not see any on these knobs.

I realize that I may get a quicker response in the E32 forum, but thought that I would ask here first.

It should be just by the allen screw. That's how mine was changed.

They don't have your typical "L" handle, it looks more like a standard shift knob and there is no allen screw that I can see (or feel).

They were all in the park position and there are no keys so it's difficult to get at the front of the knob.
