I own a 2000 323Ci. I recently lost the bolt device that secures the battery cable to the battery. At the local BMW dealer parts counter, I was told that BMW doesn't supply the part. At this time, the only option I can come up with is a visit to a junk yard. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You, JAD

I would think that you could get something that simple from Autozone?

Or Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware.

In case you haven't seen the connector, it isn't just a bolt. One part of it is in the shape of the upper case letter "T". At the bottom of the T, you have threads on which a standard bolt and washer is attached. It is the "T" cast & chromed part that is non standard.

Correct. I work at the dealer and whenever we break one we have to order the whole B+ cable . The dealer usually has to cover it and it's aroung a couple hundred. I would look around on the forums and like they said a junkyard. Would be better for a BMW specific junkyard. I can ask a few guys at work that I know have a few extra...but they are pretty "valuable" in our line of work..and can save our a$$ on a big woops... Good Luck

Pinzon89, Thanks for recognizing the difficulty in finding the part. If you know someone that is willing to give one up at a "reasonable" price, please let me know. Thank's in advance.

Erick, Are you sure it wasn't "Oh S**t" instead of "woops"?

If you lost the bolt itself and nut, just go to autozone or wallmart and buy a cheap battery cable about the same size and remove the bolt and washer and use it on yours. Good Luck
