I saw this picture while searching for something else, and I was wondering if this front filler panel can be made to fit a US car and if does anyone have the part number?
I looked on realoem.com and cannot find the part that I am looking for.
I am going to be painting my front bumper pretty soon and would like to ditch the big, bulky front licence plate holder and filler panel.
I believe the car belongs to PorscheDude:

its not a Euro part, its an M-Tech bumper. No, it wont fit a standard bumper.

I looked at the M Tech link and I still don't see it.
Also, why would it not fit a US bumper if I took that big ugly plastic piece off?

I have not been able to find this part on real oem either. Its an accessory I am pretty sure. That big ugly plastic part on the standard bumper is one peice with the center lower grille. It does not just "come" off and still look ok as far as I know.

not sure if youd call it a euro filler? as i think most our cars here uk and europe have to have front number plates legally

I'd like to minimize the trim on the front bumper and thought that perhaps I could take a piece of the rear trim and cut it to fit the front?
I'm going to grab a spare rear piece tomorrow when I get to the junk yard and see what I can do.
I'll post pics of the outcome if it works.

It's an US only part; 51 11 2 232 451.

Tried to snag it off the m5 parts car. Didn't work.

I'm really thinking about using a piece of the rear panel on the front.
I don't see why it wouldn't work and it would be minimal to say the least. I guess I'll know tomorrow....

This will likely not work either. There will be nothing to hold the bottom portion of the trim strip on. I also doubt the clips on the top portion would match up to slots in the front bumper. Guess its worth a shot if the part is just laying around though.

There will be once I mill some slots in the front cover.

We shall see.

The only option you have in terms of changing the front bumper grille is to have a Euro one with a fake euro plate made according to your taste.

What is the part number for the one in the OP? I can't find it anywhere and my M5 bumper is missing it dearly! :(

I'm not seeing it on realoem. I can check ETK tomorrow if you'd like.
