'99 540i.

We got it used two months ago, and it came with I believe are 4 17" style 5 wheels (wheels have 34 small bolts around spoke area), and they appear to be of a two? piece construction. They are not staggered, all wheels same size.
Markings under center cap are as follows;
RC 090 BBS, 1 095 531 99, GERMANY 00, BMW B 02, 8Jx17H2 1820.

No problems with them, just trying to be certain they are actual BMW oem wheels. I am pretty sure a previous owner upgraded to them from a different, original oem installed set. The spare in the trunk is a 16" one piece cast wheel, and from the wheel faq, it appears to be a style 38.

I just acquired a set of 4 16" one piece cast wheels from an individual, who said they originally came on his '97 740. They look very much like the style 5 wheels we already have, with the exception that they do not have the 34 small bolts around the spoke area. The spoke design and number of spokes match the first set, and the center caps are the same. They also, are not as 'deep dish' as the first set.
Markings under center cap are as follows;
8Jx16H2, BMW 18 23, 1182277, FUNDO 60 96.
Are these also real BMW wheels, and are they considered to style 5, or something else?

I am already aware that the 2nd set have a smaller center hub (72.6mm) vs the 74.1mm I need for our 540i, and have located a local machine shop that can machine the center hub to the dimension I need, for a reasonable price ($80 - 100 for the set of 4, depending on set up). I intend to mount a set of 225/55R16 WS60 Blizzaks on these wheels for a winter set of tires/wheels.

Thanks for any info available.

Thanks. The link below takes me to a site in German, which I am not in any way fluent.

My bad, I mis-read the wheel ID listing, my spare is a style 33, not a 38.

OK, that one works, and good info on the wheel types with specs.

The offset difference between the two sets of wheels, E20 vs E23, will not be an issue. I expect no problems using these wheels for winter use.

Thanks again.
