Well I guess this had to happen one day, my new and perfect car at 3000 miles isn't so new anymore:( The other day when I was pulling up my window (driver's side) I heard this grinding noise. It happens only when I pull up, doesn't affect the speed or the functionality of the window and doesn't happen anywhere else. It's really annoying, especially when I'm in my garage and it's all quiet and I need to lock the car and you hear this sound it's like a 92 acura's window:(

The question I have is for something like this should I take the car to the dealership? It may sound stupid to most of you but the fact is this is my first BMW and I am not leasing it and I want to keep it for long term. I even had break-in oil change done at the dealer out of my pocket.

There is no way I will pay this out of my pocket, so my question is what is the chance the dealer will tear my door apart, say this is not a big problem that warrants a claim and tell me they are not going to fix it unless I pay $1000 (which I won't) hence I end up getting my car in a worse state than it originally was. I always thought once you take your car to a dealer and the dealer touches it and starts opening it up, it will never be like in the condition it came out of the factory, because they always screw something up.

Oh and on a side note, what's the policy on the windshield wipers? Mine has discoloring problem and the plastic on it is coming off.

Sorry I don't want to get ripped off and be in a worse situation than I already am. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

They will def. fix it. They fixed my clogged up windshield washer line, and my car is an 07 CPO i purchased. I had a NISSAN Versa, they had to removed the whole passanger door and reposition it so it doesnt bang, all free of charge.
