318 has one pipe, 325 has two. It will not bolt on unless you cut it and weld it

No way a 325 will fit an 318is!

The 325i header are twice 3 to 1, section 1 is 2 pipes to 1 and back to 2 with 2 cats and 2 small mufflers, section 2 is 2 pipes in the muffler and two endpipes. The 318IS header is a 4 in 2, section 1 is 2 pipes to 1 with 1 cat, section 2 is 1 pipe with first 1 small muffler and then 1 big muffler and endpipe.

The above posts are correct, plus, rear OEM bumper on 4 bangers don't have enough room for 2 pipes.

that's not a biggee, you can swap the valence if you go aftermarket dual tip 318 exhaust

I'm pretty sure a 323is/ic exhaust will bolt up, seeing as it's a single pipe going into a dual muffler.
