How To Clean An AFE Intake Filter

I recently put my intake in the car, but the filter is all grey. I have the dry AFE Intake. It was in the body shop and the dirt/dust went on it, which caused it to turn from blue to grey. I've heard "air pressure hose" others say no it will "ruin" the material. Any advice?

Buy a K&N filter cleaning/oiling kit, and use it.

I think using an oily cleaner would defeat the purpose of having the 'dry' filter. My guess would be to go with the air pressure hose just hit it from a distance so you don't damage anything.

itll be fine to use the KN kit as long as you dont spray it with the oil after it dries.
