ok so i guess i had no interest on my swap so i will keep it for now.
my current turbo is a To4e .60 A/R Compressor, .63A/R Turbine t3 turbo.
since my car is a track only drift car, i would like it to have 0 to little lag.
so my question is what is the smallest turbo i can run, yet still make 350whp?
before i left for brasil i dynod my car on the hottest day of the summer yet & made a reasonable 330whp/327wtq with 151f air temp (hopefully on a cold day it would be more like 340something) (also on my last run at 11PSI)
the only problem is i did not spool till 3500rpms. & for drifting that means alot of clutch kicking to get the turbo to spin.
i also allready have 2.25" hotside & 2.5 cold IC pipeing to have a faster spool.
also my turbo is 4 years old so i dont know if it is just getting tired or what .

come on..... 97 views & no posts.....:(

A 50 trim T3/T4 with ball bearing center would do well for your application. It spools faster than a GT30R, costs less, and is easily capable of hitting your 350whp power target without stress.

I have seen a GT28E (non baller bearing) hit 300whp on a 2.0 liter with a .80 a/r housing and it seemed to be pulling well sir. I expect an appropriately sized GT28 based turbo could get to your goals, though I would not recommend so small a turbo for most people.

thanks for the replies! so what rear housing on a gt28 should i look into? a .80ar is a lil big isnt it ?

how does a gt2860r sound ?

looks like a 2860r is a lil small! anyone know if they make 2871r in t3 flange?
