Many of the pictures are very good. Why don't you get an e38 of your own so that you can take awesome pics of it?

Looks great..
Here's a few tips: Pull back on it a bit. Usually, the best rated and liked photography, the subject only fills up to 1/3 the frame, and usually cuts the shot into thirds. A few of the shots have a similar look. Also, get LOW. Lay on the ground like a fool, and frame the shot and the stance of the car using the blacktop, or in this case nice white concrete.. Set your fstop to 5.6, or maybe just a tad higher, and the entire car will be in focus, but the background will have some blur, you don't want the address of the building, the chevy work van, or that blue WRX wagon taking away from the actual shot. Your exposures look right on, but be careful with the glare, the first couple are blown out. Also, a good idea to not take a picture of the front of the car with the wheel turned toward you. Front tire tread looks like poop, and rears are usually only acceptable if they are wide and aggressive. Another tip that makes a huge difference, always keep the car or something in the shot level or plumb, unless you're going for obscure angles. If you don't it will make the car look out of proportion. Finally, when shooting the side of the car thats in the "shade" use fill flash.
Those shots are very very good, and you're very very close to shooting pro type stuff. you have the "eye" and a fine specimen to work with.
This picture would have been awesome if the car was in the right third, and down on the ground. This angle is the "money shot"

You cant see the plate is crooked, you can use the car to block out some of the background clutter, and as you get lower, the body lines will POP!

Am I the only one that likes front tire tread in photo shoots? :dunno I personally think it makes the car look more aggressive.

PS Filling the whole frame is usually only good if you're highlighting detail.

If I had upped my fstop in this shot, the entire word of "alpina" would have been in focus, rather than the tail end of it.

PIZZA- Tire tread is ok in some respects, but generally, the wheel is more important. If you are rocking 305's in the rear with a tread pattern like a crotch rocket, then yes, tread is good. But if you're on Michelin all seasons like 225's, that's not aggressive.
Good

you got the eye man, and that is the hardest part. The best part is, I can tell that 98% of these photos are straight out of the camera with almost no post shoot editing. If you can pull that off, your doing great.
And another reason not to bear down on the subject, with these nice new shiny dslr's, 10.1MP géts you a shot of 48"w x 36"h out of the body. If you're into a 12, 15, 18mp body, you can shoot almost a mural sized shot with NO GRAIN. Take in some of the background! You can crop it out later if you dont like the results, and still end up with a perfect 18x24 with no distortion (and that's still very very big.)

Toss on a polarizer to cut that glare, it will help bring out the body shape a little more and accent the color.

One because I banged it (still could have manually moved it) and two, because I just forgot. After Bfest, I wasn't as careful...lol. Yea, we do need to meet up; perhaps on that event your having in Sept ;)

Love the new location. I think they're starting to know me by name, as much as I'm in there...lol.
I don't have any issues with the plate being that low.

Absolutely. Gotta find a mint location though.. Can't just do it anywhere.. I always liked the graffiti walls and abandoned garage doors kinda thing. Then there was another thing I was thinking of, for me, but I can't tell yet...

How about Bear Mtn. or Underneath the GWB? There's always the city by the west side hwy or any good spots that you know of, I'm down! I wouldn't mind parking on the sidewalk of Babe Ruth ave. in Yankee Stadium but, I don't if that would be possible with the Cops there.:D
