Car doors wont unlock

My remote key willl do everything but unlock the car, when I press the unlock button the light under the handles come on but the door wont unlock. The button inside the car no longer unlocks the doors either, infact the only way to unlock the door is using the actual key on the driver side door. Does anyone know whats going on?

Did you check for a blown fuse? If that is not the case, it could be an actuator gone bad.

I may be wrong, but I think its fuse 56, and 57. You probably have a faulty door lock actuator causing excessive amperage causing the fuse to blow.

57 was blown, replaced it and everything works... thanks

It's a ridiculous problem to have. I had the same thing happen. I found a suggestion on the web to use a 20 amp fuse instead of the 15 amp. These cars are way over rated.

Same thing happened to me. It was a known problem at the dealership and they replaced all my locks under warranty.
