I pulled over beside the road after a sixty MPH run and put my hand on the the air box thinking it would be cool, it was too hot to hold! I installed a thermocouple and a pressure gauge between the aftercooler and the air box, at normal speeds the temperture reads 50- 100 degrees above the air intake temperture and at full throttle up to 150 degrees above the intake temperture. The pressure gauge reads 5-10 pounds at normal speeds and up to 15 pounds full throttle. When I disconnect the pressure gauge and feel the air coming through the line it is cool and gets much cooler at full throttle. I need an education in turbos and aftercoolers, everything is oppsite of what I expected!
