E38 17" Tire size suggestions

Hi all,

Sorry if this has been answered, I searched but couldn't find anything.

I have a 2001 740i with the 17" style 70 wheels with 235/55-17 tires.

What sizes can I put on these or would it be best to move to 18" wheels?

You can go with a 245/50R17 or 255/50R17 on the wheels you have now. The 18" does give you a lot more options. If I can help let me know.
